A concrete slab-on-grade construction joint features a thickness of t inches and two half-thickness layers. The joint incorporates three-eighths by four-and-a-quarter by four-and-a-half inch PNA diamond plates spaced at twenty-four inches on center, paired with number three by thirty-six inch long dowels spaced at twenty-four inches on center centered in between the joint. Reinforcement and slab thickness are sized per plan with a typical two-and-a-half inch clearance.
