A pipe penetrates through a reinforced concrete mat foundation, wrapped in one-inch foam to isolate it from the surrounding concrete. The pipe is positioned clear of the top and bottom reinforcing mats. Additional reinforcing bars matching the size and number of the bottom rebar bend around the penetration, supplemented by two number five by six-foot side bars at each face placed at a typical spacing of two feet.
