A Unistrut brace connects to the underside of a structural steel beam flange using a Unistrut P1354AW adjustable hinge. The hinge secures to the beam flange with a fillet weld specified at one-eighth inch on each side. A three-eighths-inch diameter A307 bolt fastens the brace member to the adjustable hinge assembly. A maximum five-inch clearance dimension is maintained from the top of the beam to the hinge attachment point.
