A structural beam sized per the braced frame elevation connects to a column using a gusset plate and a minimum three-eighths-inch plate with three erection bolts as required. Complete joint penetration welds secure the web to the plate, and top and bottom connections are made with welds on three sides. Additional plate conditions are specified per typical braced frame column flange or web conditions.
