A reinforced concrete shear wall connects to a twenty-four by thirty inch precast concrete column furnished by others. The column boundary element features Grade 80 A706 number five ties spaced at four inches on center maximum, satisfying ACI 318-14 Section 18.10.6.4c, configured as continuous rebar hoops or ties as shown. Vertical reinforcing bars are provided within the column and wall per the shear wall elevation. Typical wall reinforcement thickness and bar sizes are detailed on the structural drawings.
