This connection joins a stair stringer to a landing beam or building slab per plan. An L3x3x1/2 angle, measuring zero feet two inches long, is welded to the stringer with three-sixteenth-inch fillets on three sides and a complete joint penetration weld. A half-inch diameter bolt in a standard hole fastens the connection to a three-eighth-inch stiffener plate located at the stringer position. The stiffener plate is welded to the landing beam with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides.
