A moment-connected steel beam frames into a supporting steel beam with a bolted web connection and top and bottom flange continuity plates. The moment-connected beam web connects to the supporting beam web using a bolted shear tab layout. Continuity plates are provided at the top and bottom flanges, typically positioned at both the top and bottom levels. Conditions are detailed for both when the supporting beam is deeper than the moment-connected beam and when both beams share the same depth.
