A wide-flange beam bears onto a three-quarter-inch thick base plate atop a hollow structural section column sized per plan. Four seven-eighth-inch diameter A325 bolts secure the connection, complemented by one-half-inch maximum shims as required. Stiffener plates are provided on each side, centered on the column centerline. Cross beam connections require a separate detail per plan references.
