Concrete slab blockouts occur around columns at edge, corner, and interior conditions with associated reinforcement dowels. Typical slab reinforcement at the edge of the slab extends into the blockout with a minimum six-inch lap. Dowels match the slab reinforcement and are omitted at control joints where indicated. An optional sonotube blockout is provided at interior conditions, and slab blockouts do not extend beyond the footing.
