The assembly secures mechanical duct hanger straps to a concrete fill over metal deck floor system using two alternative methods with a maximum tension load of one hundred pounds. The first detail utilizes a one-inch wide by eighteen gauge minimum galvanized metal duct hanger strap insert wrapped around a number four reinforcing bar positioned above the metal deck. The second detail fastens a one-inch wide by eighteen gauge minimum metal duct hanger strap with a ninety degree bend on top using a three-eighths-inch diameter concrete screw with a minimum nominal embedment of two and one-half inches. A three-thirty-second-inch thick or twelve gauge square washer is placed between the strap and the anchor head with a maximum one-half-inch offset.
