An architectural screen column connects to a wide flange beam using 3/8-inch by 7-inch plates located above and below the hollow structural section, secured with two A307 bolts. The connection plates are welded to the wide flange column with a quarter-inch fillet weld six inches long. The hollow structural section beam references sheet S6.05 for further alignment.
