A structural steel beam connects to a steel embed plate anchored into a reinforced concrete wall. The embed plate aligns flush with the top of the beam and features complete joint penetration welds typically. Threaded reinforcing bars extend into type 2 welded rebar couplers within the concrete, with bar lengths specified as Lsbt. The beam web and flanges attach via connection plates sized per plan mark symbols, and bearing plates are positioned beyond the beam profile.
