A replacement steel railing is anchored to the top of an existing concrete retaining wall adjacent to a civil sidewalk. The existing guardrail is removed as required and replaced with the new railing assembly. All exposed steel is finished with a powder coat, and all exposed welds in the final condition are ground smooth. The existing concrete wall is repaired and skim coated as required. The overall railing height is three feet six inches maximum above the sidewalk level.
