A W6x15 wide-flange steel beam is supported by hollow structural section columns designated as HSS 4x4. The assembly carries a 3x timber decking fastened over a 2x nailer. The beam is sloped at a 1:48 pitch and features a trim on the bottom flange at each end with a three-quarter-inch notch. A two-inch diameter hole is provided through the beam web for a fire sprinkler pipe. Steel connections are welded with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds typical and all steel components are galvanized.
