A steel joist bearing assembly connects to a concrete tilt-up wall panel. A steel joist with metal deck bears on a WT6x17.5 by 6-inch joist bearing seat, which is supported by a chord channel embedded in the wall panel. The chord channel features a notched top flange to accommodate the steel joist top chord. Scheduled horizontal panel reinforcement or one continuous number 5 rebar is provided at the deck bearing along with a splice plate per plan. Fillet welds are specified for the angle-to-channel and deck connections.
