A horizontal steel truss connects to a wide flange beam web using a gusset plate welded with typical fillet welds along the wide flange beam web centerline. The gusset plate extends outward to meet the double angle members of the horizontal truss, which are secured with multiple rows of bolts through the connected legs. Clearances and minimum dimensions are noted from the working point at the beam centerline to the edge of the gusset plate and truss members. The assembly provides lateral bracing and load transfer between the structural framing components.
