A square thirty-two inch by thirty-two inch reinforced concrete column features longitudinal reinforcing bars and interior ties. A one-and-a-half-inch clearance is maintained to the ties typically throughout the section. Grid ties use alternating hooks placed typically at the corners and intermediate locations.
