An elevator rail connects directly to the wood rim beam per manufacturer specifications. A CS14 strap is placed within twelve inches on each side of the rim beam, wrapping around the rim and nailed to blocking as shown. The floor assembly features plywood sheathing with floor boundary nailing specified for a minimum of four feet along the joist, and posts at rails are installed per detail 11/S4.4.
