A high beam and a lower beam frame into a girder per plan at adjacent elevations using single plate shear tab connections. The 1/4-inch shear tab is welded to the girder web with a three-sixteenths fillet weld and features a one-half-inch setback. The lower beam web connects to the shear tab using two 5/8-inch diameter A325-N bolts with a 2-inch bolt spacing, centered vertically with a 7-inch dimension and positioned within the minimum k-region per AISC guidelines. An edge beam is shown adjacent to the lower framing condition, also utilizing a typical shear tab connection per details.
