A closure plate assembly at a roof edge spans over a steel beam. A bent plate closure welded to the metal roof deck provides edge containment, with plate thickness varying based on the overhang dimension per the provided table. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the deck to the supporting steel beam with a typical two-inch spacing unless noted otherwise. Clearances of three-quarters inch are maintained at brick veneer, curtain wall, or steel stud framing, while precast framing requires a one-and-one-quarter inch minimum gap. Bypass framing is coordinated per architectural drawings.
