A girt moment connection frames into a wide-flange steel column. Hollow structural section girts connect to the column flanges using five-eighths by twelve-inch by one-foot seven-inch plates secured with six seven-eighths-inch diameter A325 bolts. Additional connection plates measuring five-eighths by fourteen and one-half inches by one-foot seven-inch are welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. The wide-flange steel column is sized per the column schedule.
