Cold-formed steel blocking is fabricated by cutting the flange and bending the web at each end, with one web bent upward and the other downward. The bent webs secure directly to the adjacent studs using two number ten screws at each end. Straps or cold-rolled channel are installed on the sides where sheathing does not occur.
