An HSS elevator divider beam connects to hollow structural section guide rail support columns using L6x4x5/16 by five-inch angles placed on each side. The connection is secured with three-quarter-inch through bolts installed in two-inch vertical slotted holes with double nuts to allow vertical adjustment. A one-inch clearance is maintained between the structural members. Fillet welds of quarter-inch and three-sixteenth-inch sizes join the connection angles and framing elements as indicated.
