Structural steel beam transfer force connection framing into a column where beam centerlines are offset. A shallower beam and a deeper beam connect on opposite sides of the continuous column web with bolted shear tabs or connection plates. The working point is located at the centerline of the shallower beam. The depth offset condition requires that d2 is less than or equal to d1 plus six inches. A reference note directs the builder to sheet 11/S5.204 for collector connection details.
