Inverted angles connect to the top flange of wide-flange steel beams serving as drag struts, with vertical legs sized to suit joist seat depths as indicated on the plan. An inverted 4x4 angle uses a quarter-inch fillet weld with alternating spacing, while an inverted 6x4 long-leg-horizontal angle connects beneath a metal deck assembly. Fillet welds secure the angle and metal deck components to the structural steel supports.
