A round or square opening up to thirteen inches in diameter is cut through a single low flute of a three-inch Type N roof deck. The opening is reinforced with L2x2x3/16 steel angles attached to each low flute on both sides with two number ten self-drilling screws. These reinforcing angles extend a minimum of two flutes beyond the edges of the opening.
