A hollow structural section steel column welds to a one-inch thick steel base plate with a yield strength of 36 ksi. The base plate measures one foot four inches square and is secured with four anchor bolts designated as AB3. Anchor bolts are set at symmetric edge distances of one and one-half inches with internal spacings of six and one-half inches and seven and one-half inches. Column sizing is coordinated per the structural column schedule.
