A structural steel beam supports a metal roof deck with buckling-restrained braces connected via gusset plates. The gusset and attachment are designed by the BRB supplier. Additional web stiffeners measuring one-half inch thick are welded to each side of the beam web using five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds as required by the BRB supplier.
