An inclined hollow structural section girt connects to structural framing using three-eighths inch thick bent plates and cap plates. A quarter-inch typical fillet weld secures the connection assemblies. The bent plates maintain a minimum five-inch dimension along the supporting member interface with a three-quarter-inch clearance gap. The hollow structural section members are sized per elevation drawings.
