This structural steel connection details a steel beam framing into a built-up plate girder. The connection utilizes a 3/4-inch full-height connection plate welded to the girder web with five-sixteenth-inch welds on three sides with 1-inch returns. Ten 1-inch diameter A325N bolts fasten the beam web to the connection plate. A 3/4-inch by 7-inch plate slotted around the web and stiffener plate with a 50 KSI yield strength is welded to the top flange with five-sixteenth-inch welds. Stiffener plates are provided per detail C6/S301. Concrete over metal deck is omitted from the view for clarity.
