An existing glulam beam supports a plywood deck with framing tied together by a VB7 knee brace located on each side of the column, sized per plan. The structural connection consists of a formed steel knee brace bracket framing underneath an existing purlin and fastening into the vertical members. Fasteners are detailed at the brace ends connecting back to the primary framing elements.
