An alternative Option B connection trims the vertical leg of the angle at the joist. The roof deck is welded to the angle framing in accordance with general project notes. Additional conditions direct the user to detail D3/S521 for openings less than twelve inches in diameter and to rooftop mechanical unit support details where applicable.
