A concrete depressed slab condition features a step-down depth denoted as "t". The transition zone requires a minimum extension length of 1'-6" or six times the slab thickness ("6t") beyond the drop point. Reinforcing steel continues through the transition zone with sloped subgrade preparation beneath the slab drop. The top of concrete slab elevation is coordinated per the architectural and structural plans.
