This structural steel connection features wide-flange members framing into a one-and-a-half-inch gusset plate at a common working point. A wide-flange beam web connects along the base while multiple wide-flange braces intersect the plate edges. Complete joint penetration welds are specified typically throughout the connection joints. A minimum two-inch clearance is maintained from the brace end to the plate edge.
