This structural steel connection details the attachment of hollow structural section elevator guide rails to an HSS separator beam. The assembly uses L4x4x1/4x4" angles on both sides of the HSS with standard holes, secured with one 3/4" diameter through bolt. Additional connection plates measuring 1/2" x 5" x 0'-6" are welded to each side using typical quarter-inch fillet welds. The separator beam connects back to a wide flange beam sized per plan.
