A steel column is centered on a base plate and anchor bolts set within a concrete footing pocket. Infill concrete is cast after the column base plate has been grouted. A control joint or construction joint is located at the perimeter per structural plans. Number 4 trim reinforcing bars are centered typically around the pocket with specified clearances.
