A single plate shear tab is welded to the web of the supporting steel beam with a fillet weld sized per schedule plus one-sixteenth of an inch. The supported steel beam connects to the shear tab using high-strength structural bolts sized and spaced per the structural plans. The number and size of bolts in the first row and any additional rows are designated on the structural framing plan. The top of steel elevations align with coped beam flanges as detailed.
