Metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center maximum bear on a sixteen-gauge track anchored to a concrete slab. The track is secured with three-eighth-inch diameter expansion anchors spaced at thirty-two inches on center. Number eight sheet metal screws connect each side of the track to the framing.
