An interior grade beam of width and depth sized per schedule is cast below finish grade and connects to an adjacent slab above. Two number four dowels spaced at sixteen inches on center extend with a one-foot eight-inch embedment into the grade beam. Stirrups are provided as specified in the schedule, with number five bars each face included for depths greater than thirty inches. The grade beam extends longitudinally into adjacent footings per schedule.
