A concrete slab rests on a vapor barrier where required, placed over compacted structural fill or competent native soil prepared per the geotechnical report. Reinforcement is positioned within the slab per plan. The top of the slab features either a sawcut joint or a premolded joint with a depth equal to one-fourth of the slab thickness and a minimum one-and-a-half-inch dimension.
