This structural detail shows framing connections for steel beams of different depths intersecting opposing column flanges. A shear tab welded to the column flange bolts to the beam web, with the shear tab thickness specified as the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch. A second row of bolts is included as required per plan. Continuity plates are provided at the top and bottom flanges of the column, using the larger of the flange thicknesses TF1 or TF2. Sloped bottom plates are detailed for beams with a slope of less than 3 inches.
