Beams and a sloped rod flange frame into a steel column with complete joint penetration welds typically used at the beam connections. Three-inch stiffener plates are fitted to bear at each end inside the column web, secured with one-half inch fillet welds typically. Five-sixteenth inch fillet welds join the rod flange assembly to the column. All members are fitted to bear at connection points.
