A lightweight concrete topping with an average thickness of three inches is placed over a structural concrete slab per plan, separated by a waterproof membrane. Welded wire reinforcement of size 6x6-W3.5xW3.5 is embedded within the topping layer. A control joint centered over the assembly features a joint sealant with a tooled edge.
