A structural steel angle measuring four by three by five-sixteenths inches by one foot zero inches long with long leg vertical connects to each side with three-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds. The top of the concrete masonry unit bond beam sits below with a typical top-of-wall gap. At the contractor's option, this detail can be used at mild concrete slabs or beams.
