Metal grating rests on structural steel angles anchored to concrete edges via embedded angles with headed studs or continuous angles with drilled-in expansion anchors. The embedded option utilizes a continuous angle with a vertical leg flush with the top of the grating, anchored by one-half inch diameter by four inch long headed studs spaced at eighteen inches on center. The drilled-in option uses a continuous four by three by one-quarter inch structural steel angle secured with one-half inch diameter expansion anchors at eighteen inches maximum on center with four inch embedment. Open-end supports feature a one-quarter inch plate welded at the open-ended supports with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. Grating is bolted to the steel embedded angle with a minimum of two bolted connections per section of grating per side.
