A structural brace frames into a column and beam intersection using a gusset plate welded to one side only. The brace member connects to the gusset plate using specified bolts, while the bottom flange of the intersecting beam is coped as required. Fillet welds secure the gusset plate to the column and beam framing elements based on design drawing specifications.
