Cold-formed steel headers bear onto vertical steel stud jambs using structural framing clips or direct track connections. Cripple studs above the header are fastened with four number ten screws into the jamb or secured with a Stiffclip AL clip angle. The steel stud header connects to the track with two number ten screws on each side, and each flange of each stud receives a number ten screw.
