A two-inch stainless steel braided hose passes through an opening in a hollow steel tube column and connects to a two-inch roof leader with half-inch foam rubber insulation. The void space inside the tube column surrounding the pipe is filled with urethane foam insulation. The braided hose is secured to the warm side of the tube column. The tube column opening is covered with a U-shaped cover plate as detailed on the structural drawings.
