A column splice connection incorporates a bevel transition per AWS D1.1 standards. Filler plates are provided as required to adjust for thickness variations across the splice line. Mill tolerances and transitions are explicitly detailed along the web and flange junctions. Bolts secure the spliced members through aligned connection plates.
