A vertical hollow structural section post connects to a base plate measuring one-half inch by six inches by one foot four inches with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on two sides. The base plate anchors to concrete over a metal deck using two half-inch-diameter by three-and-a-half-inch welded studs spaced at one foot zero inches. The embed plate must be field located so that the studs are positioned in the low flutes of the metal deck.
